Well, this is my story!

I was blessed with beautiful hair and skin as a child, and I am sure most of us are. But over a period of time due to whatever reasons, I started developing acne at a very young age. My memory of good skin is only in my childhood pictures...lol...

My parents, especially my mom was very worried about my skin and took me to all sorts of beauticians, skin specialists, cosmetic surgeons for over a period of 10 years. My father used to make carrot juice and other vegetable juices and feed me. I stopped eating fried food and pickles which were my favorite. There was a very minor change on using some medicines, face packs, cosmetics etc but not worth the pain I took, finally I was so tired of taking care of my skin

I stopped going to all of them for cure and started using what I felt suited my skin more (of course with all the study I did and with all the suggestions I got, I could figure out what my skin wanted)

Later in life, I got busy with work and then family, I never actually got time to take care of my skin, my skin was still bad, even at the age of 30. By now, due to pimples, I also developed scars and pits, which again is non-curable, hence I cared the least.

I turned 40, but still grappling with my bad skin. That's when I visited a cosmetic surgeon, recommended by my friend. He mentioned that the cause for my acne at this age of 40 is superficial (in the epidermis region of my skin) and nothing to do with my bad gut or eating habits or hormones.

This made me happy to some extent that it can be tackled easily. So from then I started using only natural, herbal powders (sunnipindi as we call in telugu) and all natural stuff on my skin. Anyway I was fond of natural stuff right from my childhood. There was some positive effect but again it is not an easy task to manage with herbal powders always. So my search was still on, for an easy way to handle skin issues.

That's when it triggered to me to make a soap or body wash where I can incorporate my herbal powder, so as to make it more natural. So the first experiment I did was to melt down Pears soap and add my herbal bath powder to it. It was not that great! The next thing I got to know is that there are melt and pour soap bases available readily in the market. I tried them too. They were also good but not my choice, as the ingredients were not listed.

Then I came across the traditional method of soap making, called the "Cold Process" method. I made my first CP soap in the month of March 2019 just before I went on an official onsite trip for 2 months. I made a batch of 5 soaps, kept it for drying and went on the trip. I was so excited to try them after my return. Guess what! It was a luxury 5 oil soap and was so nice to use. It lathered really well, it was so smooth to touch, was just gliding on my skin...oh...a wonderful experience, I must say!

That's when I got hooked to CP soap making, and never turned back again! I must definitely admit that soap making, especially CP soap making for me has been an addiction and never ever I want to be de-addicted...lol!!!

So comparing my herbal bath powder and my CP soaps, my vote definitely goes to CP soap because of the effects it has shown on my skin. I still have pits which are reduced to a far extent, however I don't develop acne at all now, may be 1 in a month or so. Moreover it has given a nice glow to my skin, which I am really happy about

CP soap is still an all natural product and I endorsed it to my extended family and friends. Some of them are so much used to my soaps that, now, they have completely stopped buying or using commercial soaps, which is for me a great achievement!

Finally, the lesson learnt is that, the natural products that are available commercially are not all that natural. Because even I was using the so called "natural" stuff (be it soap, face wash or shampoo etc) but none of them could actually show a result on my skin, the way my cold process soaps showed. Hence I make more and also endorse more
